The Official Website of Pianist Kyle Orth, National First-Place Winner in the Music Teacher’s National Association Piano Competition

Welcome to my official website! Whether you’re here because you know me personally, or because you’ve heard me perform, or if I just happened to pop up on a Google search, shalom! I’m honored that you are taking the time to look through my website.

As a classical pianist and composer, I feel that music is one of the greatest methods of communication on the planet. It really is a universal language. For example, Beethoven is heard all over the world; yet the beauty of his works is understood by people regardless of the language they speak.

Sharing music with others is my passion. While I do derive personal pleasure from the piano, I don’t just play for myself. I play the piano to bless others; I work my hardest to make my music as moving as possible for my audience. When I’ve finished performing a Haydn sonata, a Chopin etude, or a Prokofiev concerto, I want others to walk away saying, “Isn’t classical music great?” If I can reach out to just one person through my performance, then the entire experience is worth it. That’s what music is about, anyways – inspiring lives and touching hearts.

My desire is to capture the beauty of a composer’s work and show my audience how magnificent it is. When someone speaks to me after one of my performances, telling me how I moved him to tears, I realize I have achieved my objective. I have successfully expressed the message of the masters in a way that is meaningful to my listeners.

I want to create music that will sooth the spirit, encourage the downcast, and strengthen the strong. When I compose a piece that brings tears to somebody’s eyes, or gives someone else tingles up and down his/her spine, I think: This is what it’s all about. Music is not something that was meant to be hoarded and kept to oneself; music is a gift that must be continually given away.

I hope you find my music inspirational. To learn more about my involvement in the classical music community (including awards and past performances), check out the biography page. The music page will give you additional information about my piano solo compositions.
